Congratulations to Allie Sawyer. She has had her short story selected and included in a collection of spooky themed stories by Young Writers. The story had to be 100 words or less and was submitted by her teacher Mrs. Pennell.
More about Young Writers from their site: "Young Writers runs national writing contests for schools, helping to turn students' imagination and creative talent into confidence and writing skills.
We support educators across the States by creating engaging creative writing contests, themes, outstanding resources and awarding incredible prizes to both schools and students. The fun and excitement of Young Writers' contests means together we can captivate and ignite the creativity of your students.
The result is confident writers! Your students will be proud of their creative writing ability and seeing their writing brought to life in a real, physical book that they can have in pride of place on their bookshelf."

Bake for Good is King Arthur Baking Company’s free outreach program for students in grades 4 through 12. We have three goals: learn, bake, and share. Students learn the math and science of making bread from scratch. With supplies from King Arthur, they bake the bread recipe at home. The recipe makes two loaves, one to keep and one to share with someone in need or as an act of kindness. Here is a look at our classes learning about this program and what they will be doing. Stay tuned for more photos from their work at home on this project. #kingarthurbaking #BakeforGood
