H.B. Emery Jr. PTO


Who can be a member? All families with children at H.B. Emery are already "members" of the PTO. There are no fees or dues associated with our PTO. We also welcome Limington community members to be involved with our school.

What did the PTO do for the school during the 2016-2017 school year? The primary purpose of the PTO is to provide support (financial and otherwise) to the students and staff of H.B. Emery in order to provide a rich, diverse and rewarding learning experience for our students. For example, during the 2016-2017 school year, the PTO brought a theater group to the school (Hampstead Players), sent students on field trips (1st grade to Dole’s Apple Orchard, 3rd grade to Willowbrook, 4th grade to Augusta, 5th grade to Boston on the train), sponsored two Scholastic Book Fairs, and supported PBIS events. We also sponsored a Father/Daughter Dance and a Mother/Son Sea Dogs game.

The PTO raised over $2200 worth of books for our school through our two Scholastic Book fairs.

The PTO hosts an annual Christmas Craft Fair on the first Saturday of December. Crafters rent tables and provide gifts for students to purchase for their families. Almost everything at the craft fair is $10 or less! This gives the kids the opportunity to do a little shopping and the community can display some of their creations.

How does all this get accomplished? The only way the PTO can continue to succeed is through parent support. We meet for one hour on the first Wednesday of the month. These days are posted on the PTO bulletin board, school website, and our Facebook page. (HB Emery PTO). If you can't attend meetings, there are a hundred ways you can help. Please consider signing up as a volunteer and returning your sign up sheet to the school office. Being an active participant in your child's school is fun and rewarding! We look forward to meeting you and your child!
